It was iffy again... Last year we were rained out and this year we almost were dirt blasted out. A good dust storm rolled in about a half hour before fireworks, do we stay or do we go?! We stayed... Yippie, better to have 4th of July in July instead of October, like last year. :)

Man o man, you got some good firework shots there, Windy! Amazing. Did you take them with the technique you posted about? I just may have to give a whirl myself...only have to wait until the New Year :)
We get terrible dust storms here too. Yet, again, another similarity between us. I'm so glad for you that it didn't stop the festivities.
Ok, Ok... I did not use the technique I posted. :( The heat had gotten to me and I really didn't want to go (3 weeks of on the road wore me out)but I pulled up the ol' boot straps and used the door of the car to keep my hand as steady as I could. :)
Todd and I absolutely love our camera... It came with 2 lens and for these photos I used the 40-150mm lens. I did use the apeture technique in the post though.
I don't know if the tripod would have been a good idea... that means you have to plan where the best place to get the photos from. I am a fly by the seatof my pants picture taker, better pictures I think that way.
:)
