First, I need to apologize for the missing s's, 's, n's and it's, of's in the last posts!! hehehehe
Second, I need to add this disclaimer...
It took me a year or more to come up with what works for us and even then that changes,
life happens!!
It can be done! Ask my hubby, I would rather be doing something else than cleaning a toilet or doing dishes (I can not say Laundry... I actually enjoy that... more manageable in my mind). But, I had to retrain my brain for the sake of my family and especially Hannah. She will be a wife some day and I don't want her to feel the way I did. I think that was key... I needed something bigger than the laziness, more important than it just has to be done. (I don't know if that makes sense?!)
Unfortunately, I did not grow up in a traditional home... hence, retraining the brain.
I always felt like people were taking advantage of me... silly huh! Boy did I, do I need to retrain that brain. (0nly child syndrome... hey, I am aware of it though! hehehe)
Being organized makes for less work and is always an on going process but...
It Can Be Done!!! Plus, it feels oh, so good! :)
Little by little,
inch by inch,
by the yard it’s hard,
by the inch,
it’s a cinch.
Never stare at the steps,
just step up the steps.
Little by little,
inch by inch…It’s a cinch!
As we redo the house, remodel, new tile, new counter tops, I will post more of what I do... :) Oh my goodness... me giving organizing tips. LOL You just dont know how funny that is!!!
Tip for today... Lists!! Planner to carry these lists with a calendar. Write it down! There is such a sense of accomplishment when you can cross it off your list.

Little by little...I like that. I've sort of started a list of things we buy and that will help me a lot. I use the list to keep track of prices so I can recognize a good buy when I see one. So this is the first inch, now I need some method to figure out how much we buy. Maybe just adding a check mark every time we buy would be enough. This would be my first inch!
I had a feeling that this might strike my mom's sense of order and common sense. You now have a convert, Windy, I'm sure.
I admire your fortitude, Windy -- to recognize a shortcoming and to work on it, retraining your brain. And doing so in the midst of a remodel you deserve a medal!
I love the organizational tips. Keep 'em coming. And there's something to be said for tips coming from one who had to get there the hard way.
